The Great Awokening - Part Deux

“Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.” 1 Corinthians 15:34

Which is the greater accomplishment?

Is it removing the woke communist agenda from a nation or removing it from the local church?

Viewing what took place on Inauguration Day in the National Cathedral, I wonder.  

Jesus' truth does not change as some denominations have espoused a "new" gospel.  Scripture tells us that Jesus and His truth never change.  He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Dear Christian, the job of removing this evil agenda from our churches requires courage, and lest we forget what God’s Word says about these things, it is very clear.

In Matthew 5:19, Jesus tells us, "So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven" (NLT).  

Is your local church picking and choosing the commands of Jesus they wish to obey?  If so, Ephesians 4:15 tells us what we must do, "Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church."

And Matthew 18:7 says, "What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin. Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting" (NLT).

Ecclesiastes 3:7 tells us that there is, "A time to be quiet and a time to speak" (NLT).

I think it's about time we not only woke up, but spoke up.
