Hiding His Word in Our Heart
"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee." Psalm 119:11
How often are you reading God's Word, the Holy Bible?
Each day we are surrounded with circumstances of all sorts, giving us the opportunity to respond in a variety ways. In each circumstance, there is a right and a wrong response. There is a good, Godly response, and there is a less-than response. If we are daily and constantly hiding His Word in our heart, He is there in the midst of each circumstance, enabling that good, Godly response.
Read. His. Word.
As our world spirals farther and farther away from God, it becomes more and more important for us to hide His Word in our hearts, for there is no other safe point of reference for our lives and the decisions that we make. And these decisions can become increasingly difficult without Him.
Joel 3:14 says, "Multitudes, multitudes, in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision."
May we ne'er tarry in the valley of decision, but depend upon God and His Word, hidden in our hearts, for each and every choice that we make.
Goodnight, Runners.
