The Healing of Our Land

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."  2 Chronicles 7:14

This passage of Scripture has gotten a great deal of attention over the past couple of years.  But, I wonder if we really pay much attention to who God is talking to here.

He's talking to me.  If you're a follower of God, then He's talking to you, too.

I've heard several folks apply this to our whole nation needing to repent, but read this carefully.  God is asking His people to humble themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways.

Do you notice that we've become so proud that we pray for others to repent?  You know, the wicked ones.  That's who needs to repent.  Then everything will change, right?  

Not so fast.

It's me He's calling out here.  And, if I will be humble, pray and repent, then the whole land will benefit from it!

Calling all Christians:  It's time for me and for you to straighten up and fly right.  

Then we will see the healing of our land.
