In God We Trust
"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." Psalm 20:7
Our world has experienced quite the challenge over the past year. And while we may disagree on the manner in which this most unusual pandemic should be handled, there is something that those who call Jesus Lord can agree on: God is still in charge.
There is so much comfort in trusting God, knowing He is in control and living it as consistent truth. It changes the way we live and everything we do.
As a child, I ran home after school at top speed, knowing that my mother would have a delicious homemade snack waiting for me each day. I knew it would be there and I couldn't wait to get it. How much more does our loving Heavenly Father consistently gives us good things? They are just waiting for us to receive them.
And the real gift? It's Jesus, Himself.
Do you know Him? Do you know Jesus in a personal way? If so, thank Him for all He has consistently done for you.
If you don't know Him, why not stop right now and pray. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins. Tell Him that you believe He died and rose again just for you--to give you new life--and let Him have control of your life today.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
When Jesus is near, we have nothing to fear.
Goodnight, Runners.
