A Little Goes a Long Way
Afterwards the disciples asked Jesus privately, “Why couldn’t we cast that demon out?”
“Because of your little faith,” Jesus told them. “For if you had faith even as small as a tiny mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move!’ and it would go far away. Nothing would be impossible. But this kind of demon won’t leave unless you have prayed and gone without food.” Matthew 17:19-21
We've learned over the last few days and weeks that a little germ can go a long, long way.
But, what about faith? How far can it go?
Let's not try to figure out all the things we don't know and probably won't know about COVID-19 right now, and talk about our faith.
The Holy Bible tells us that without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). I'm guessing you want to please God like I do, so how much faith does it take to do that?
If we read the passage of Scripture in Matthew above, we see that we need only have faith the size of a mustard seed (that's only 1-2 millimeters) to move a mountain far away! That's a pretty incredible statement--like everything Jesus said. It also puts us all on about the zero scale as far as faith goes. And, from reading Scripture, that's not pleasing to our Father.

So, how do we change that?
Like everything else in life that we want to be good at, it takes exercise--good, healthy hard work and practice! What does that look like? Well, I think it starts with reading God's Word and believing all of the promises in it; and, not just saying we believe all of the promises in it, but acting on them. If we believe God's promises, if we know without a shadow of a doubt how much He really loves us, we will act differently. We won't be afraid of anything this ol' world dishes out. We will know that He has us, not depending on anything or anyone but Him.
If you're one of the people having a little extra time this week and next, how about a little experiment?
Let's see how far our faith can go.
Goodnight, Runners.
