O, Come Let Us Adore Him
"Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!" Psalm 95:6
I can only imagine how those who came to see the infant Messiah felt that night they first beheld Him. Just trying to imagine it, hope overwhelms my heart.
It is with this same hope that I long expectantly for His return.
Do you share my hope, this longing?
I imagine times when Jesus was born were in many ways like they are now. There is/was civil, social, and political unrest. The love of many has/had grown cold and they have/had no interest in the things of God--only selfishness and self-promotion.
And then, there is Jesus.
Today, no matter where you find yourself, whether hopeful or hopeless, join me in adoring the Savior of the World, the One who came to set the captives free--Jesus.
O, Come Let Us Adore Him
Stop what you're doing
Come and bow down
Place here your burden
Right side your frown
Pay Him the honor,
Glory He's due
Make your heart right now
Be a true Jew
Trust Him, believe Him
He'll make you new
Shut out the darkness
See from His view
Be captivated
Come and adore
Once you have Jesus
There's no need for more.
Goodnight, Runners.
