Ye is Me
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19-20
If I were to count the number of people who say they don't evangelize or share Jesus with others because it's not their gift, I would run out of numbers.
Most Christians are familiar with the passage of Scripture above, the Great Commission. It is here that Jesus, Himself, commissioned you and me to share the Good News. It's GOOD NEWS, my friend! Why wouldn't anyone want to share it?
I've heard every excuse in the book for not sharing:

I've heard every excuse in the book for not sharing:
1. It's hard.
2. It doesn't come naturally to me.
3. It's not my gift.
4. I don't know what to say or how to start.
The list could go on forever. But, those excuses just don't cut it, and I don't think they'll be accepted on Judgment Day, either. Just thinking about the many opportunities I have missed, the conviction is overwhelming.
John 4:35 tells us, "You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest."
Sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others flows freely from a heart filled with Him. My Daddy used to say that we ought to be like a cup of coffee. When people bump into us, we ought to spill Jesus all over them.
We don't and we won't ever convert anyone. We are just the straw for the milkshake. It is the Holy Spirit who does the heavy lifting.
You have a story. Jesus Christ is woven throughout that story. Someone is waiting to hear your story today.
Won't you share it? The more you practice, the easier it will become.
Ye is me.
Goodnight, Runners.
