Investments
I looked at my investments
And took stock of each one
All stocks, savings, checking account
Each property and fund
Some were doing wonderfully
And some were doing good
Most were doing what I’d hoped
Performing like they should
Then Jesus gently whispered
Is this all that you see
Have you only earthly wealth
No investment in Me
Have you spent your life chasing
These things and wanting more
Or, is it Me you want, my dear
Just Me that you adore
When all is said and done here
And your life on earth is through
Where will your investments be
In Jesus or in you?
