Thanks Much
"Then Jesus took the loaves and gave thanks to God and passed them out to the people. Afterwards he did the same with the fish. And everyone ate until full!" John 6:11
It struck me recently upon reading this verse how truly blessed many of us are in that we can eat as much or as little as we want.
That is not true for everyone.
If it is true for you, have you taken the time to thank God for it? Do you thank Him in your heart each and every time you bring food to your lips?
Beyond this, if we give God our lives, all of us, just imagine what He is able to do? Your life may seem like just a few loaves and fish, but it's worth so much more to God. If we gratefully offer everything we are, everything we have to Him, there's no limit to the lives--hearts and souls--He can feed.
And, this offer of your life, this living sacrifice, will far outlive you and your days on this earth. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
A grateful attitude is what Jesus exemplifies in this passage of Scripture, and we know that the attitude of gratitude is a reflection of the heart. A thankful heart permeates all parts of our being, and it is evident to everyone around us.
Is your thankfulness evident to all? Have you given your loaves and fish to Christ today?
Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts."
O that our hearts might be filled with much thanks for all that our heavenly Father has given us, and may He use every morsel that we return unto Him.
Goodnight, Runners.
