Christoph Von Schmid was a parish priest and author born August 15, 1768 in Dinkelsbeuhl, Bavaria. He has written such wonderful and inspiring works for children and adults as Easter Eggs, The Bird's Nest, Little Henri, The Forget Me Not, The Rose Bush, Christmas Eve, and my personal favorite, The Basket of Flowers.

Isaiah 51:6 says, "Look up to the skies above, and gaze down on the earth below. For the skies will disappear like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a piece of clothing. The people of the earth will die like flies, but my salvation lasts forever. My righteous rule will never end!"
