Go West, Young Man
“After this, David asked the Lord, ‘Should I move back to one of the towns of Judah?’ ‘Yes,’ the Lord replied. Then David asked, ‘Which town should I go to?’ ‘To Hebron,’ the Lord answered.” 2 Samuel 2:1
Do you ever wonder which direction God wants you to take, or where He wants you to go?
David did.
It wasn’t even a matter of going east or west. David wanted to know exactly which town God wanted him in, and he asked God that very question.
And, God answered.
Are you surprised?
We shouldn’t be surprised when God answers our prayers and our questions.
We shouldn’t be surprised that He listens to us, or that He hears our prayers.
Psalm 116:2 says, “Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!”
Psalm 65:5 tells us, “You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas.”
If you are longing to know the direction that God wants you to go, may you ask Him today, believing that He will answer you.
