A Heart Condition
“And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.” Ezekiel 36:26
I was born with a heart condition.
You were, too.
So was everyone who was ever born after Adam and Eve—except Jesus.
This condition is a hardening of the heart, or sin. It is a fatal condition (Romans 6:23).
In spite of our heart condition, Jesus has given us the opportunity for a heart transplant.
The donor is perfect (Hebrews 4:15).
The surgery is free.
Curious about the surgeon? His reputation is impeccable. He is the physician (Mark 2:17).
Our wonderful Savior makes all things new—even cold, stony, callous, corrupt, and sinful hearts. He miraculously changes them and makes them soft, tender, loving, and sensitive—just like the heart of a child.
May you live today and every day making highest and best use of the new heart He has given you.
