Day 6
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8
Running today began to seem like a regular routine. The sun was shining and there was a cool breeze blowing beneath the shady canopy of live oaks along the path. Meandering along the trail, the occasional Texas heat peaking through the trees was a sobering reminder of the summer runs to come. I pray that my running roots will have grown down deep enough by that time to keep me going and not be bothered by the heat.
Still didn't make the two laps without a bit of walking, but the running is getting easier--after only six days. Tomorrow will complete the first week, and I'll post a new picture Saturday to see if there is any visible progress. The scale shows no change yet, but I know it's coming.
Now, off to finish the day with exercises, Bible and prayer time.
How is your race going? And, how may I pray for you?
May you have the best evening you've ever had in your life.
May you have the best evening you've ever had in your life.
