God Hog

"We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too."  1 Thessalonians 2:8

Are you a God hog?

A God hog is someone who keeps God all to themselves, never sharing the amazing blessings they receive as a result of knowing Him, personally.

Oh, I know all the excuses, such as how hard it is to share, how people just aren’t interested anymore, how people will think you’re an oddball, that people don’t understand, that you’ll lose your job if you share at work.

But what about the consequences of not sharing Christ? 

Mark 8:38 tells us, “If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

O, that we would have a heart like David, as expressed in Psalm 71:17, “O God, you have taught me from my earliest childhood, and I constantly tell others about the wonderful things you do.” 

May the love of God fill our hearts and lives so much that we cannot help but share Him with others every moment of every day, in everything that we do, every word that we say, and the way in which we conduct our lives.
