My Hiding Place

“For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory.” Psalm 32:7

Do you ever wish that you could just run away and hide from the cold, cruel world?

I have felt that way on many occasions. In each and every instance, God has been my hiding place, my protection, my shelter from the storm.

In the Holy Bible, David understood trouble. He understood what it meant to be surrounded by and chased by enemies.

In Psalm 27:4-5, David tells us, “The one thing I ask of the Lord—the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple.

For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock.”

Psalm 64:2 says, “Hide me from the plots of this evil mob, from this gang of wrongdoers.”

And, Psalm 143:9 tells us, “Rescue me from my enemies, Lord; I run to you to hide me.”

Are you in need of God’s hiding place today?

May you run to the One who is our hiding place, that He may protect you when trouble comes.
