A Mighty God
“After this presentation to Israel’s leaders, Moses and Aaron went and spoke to Pharaoh. They told him, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Let my people go so they may hold a festival in my honor in the wilderness.” Exodus 5:1
We serve a mighty God who is worthy to be honored and praised. God had personally met with Moses in the burning bush. It was a holy meeting, a divine appointment. After much struggle with God, Moses had now chosen to obey Him, with the help of his brother, Aaron, as a spokesman.
Our mighty God has given you a task, as well.
Have you struggled with God and yourself only to let Satan win? Perhaps it is not too late. Your obedience to Him is a celebration of your relationship. It is your own personal festival honoring the faith and commitment you have made to serving Him.
I have no idea what task God has given to you, but I do know that it is important.
Pharaoh did not know the God the Israelites served (Exodus 5:2), but because of Moses’ and Aaron’s obedience, he was about to know the mighty power of the One True and Living God.
Do you know that power?
May you follow in obedience after Him today that others might know the mighty God we serve.
