The True Light
“Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness. If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.” Luke 11:35-36
This passage of Scripture reminds us of the importance of making certain we are God's children. Jesus, by His divine nature, is light. He is the light of life, and in Him there is no darkness.
John 1:5 says, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it."
So, how do we ensure that the light we have is not actually darkness?
John 5:24 tells us, “I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life."
I John 4:12-13 also confirms this truth by reminding us, "No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us."
May you confirm that the True Light lives in you today.
