No Greater Love
"Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay day his life for his friends." John 15:13
Last week, the City of Houston lost four of its finest firefighters as they were killed in the line of duty, fighting a hotel fire on the City's Southwest side.
These firefighters gave their lives for people they did not know. They were part of an elite brotherhood, tightly knit, and unafraid to make the ultimate sacrifice for the lives of others--others they do not even know. This is true service to our fellow man.
Jesus sacrificed His life for the lives of every man. He was the epitome of true service, and He calls us to follow His example in the bond of Christian brotherhood.
There is no greater love.
