When He Comes
“And he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of
a trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world—from
the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.”
Matthew 24:31
Christ has so much love for us that He has told us what to expect when He comes again. In Matthew 24, Jesus outlines the signs that indicate His return is soon. God doesn’t want us to be deceived or misled. He outlines specific details for us regarding the events preceding His return.
We learn that many will turn away from Christ, betray and hate each other. There will be many false prophets that will appear and deceive many people. The sun and moon will be dark, and the stars will fall from the sky.

Matthew
24 reminds us that wars, rumors of war, famine, and earthquakes are only the
beginning of birth pains with more to come.
It tells us that the followers of Christ will be arrested, persecuted,
killed and hated all over the world.
We learn that many will turn away from Christ, betray and hate each other. There will be many false prophets that will appear and deceive many people. The sun and moon will be dark, and the stars will fall from the sky.
Matthew 24:12 tells us, “Sin will be
rampant everywhere and the love of many will grow cold.”
But, in all of that bad news, there is
good news, too. The gospel will be
preached everywhere, and everyone will have an opportunity to know and accept
Christ as personal Savior.
None of us knows the day or the hour of
Christ’s return, but we do know that if we endure to the end, we will be saved.
May you continue in faithful, obedient
service to Christ—no matter how difficult the road may be.
