The Power of Prayer
“Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years!” James 5:17
James 5:13-18 tells us about the power of prayer. The Bible also tells us that the effectiveness of our prayer is a function of our faith, together with the condition of our heart (James 5:15).
God longs to answer our prayers with awesome deeds, as He did for David (Psalm 65:5), and as He did for Elijah.
I would challenge you to draw close to God, seek Him daily through His Word, and watch the amazing things that will be accomplished as a result of your faithful, heart-felt communion in prayer with Him.
"The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous” (Proverbs 15:29).
“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (James 5:16).
May you realize the life-changing power of prayer to be real in your life today and every day.
