He Thought of Everything
Mary was standing outside the tomb crying, and as she wept, she stooped and looked in. She saw two white-robed angels, one sitting at the head and the other at the foot of the place where the body of Jesus had been lying. “Dear woman, why are you crying?” the angels asked her. “Because they have taken away my Lord,” she replied, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” John 20:11-13
It’s beautiful. The way that God cares for every little detail of our lives—both good and bad—is simply beautiful.
There Mary was, crying, hysterical because she had no idea where Jesus’ body had been taken. But God, out of a love that we can’t even get our minds around, made provision for Mary. He made provision for her distress by sending two angels to speak to her, to comfort her.
God makes provision for all of us. He provides for our every care, our every concern, our every distress. He does this not only to show His love for us, but so that we can, in turn, care for others.
May you find the provision of Christ in your times of distress, and may you share that same care with someone else today.
