Ceramic Cows
"You get what is coming to you when you sin. It is death! But God's free gift is life that lasts forever. It is given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 6:23 NLV
Do you remember the ceramic cow craze? Don't tell me you missed it! It was in the mid to late nineties, and ceramic cows of every size and design were everywhere.
One particular Christmas when I didn't have any idea what gift to purchase for the ladies in the family, I bought them all ceramic cows. It probably wasn't the best gift, and certainly the ceramic cow craze didn't last. It was replaced by a dozen new gift crazes the next year.
Unlike ceramic cows, eternal life with Christ isn't a craze. It is God's free gift that lasts forever. It can never be replaced by anything better. There is none greater in all the world. Jesus Christ is the very best gift there is.
If you haven't invited Him in to take complete control of your life, I pray that you will do that today.
Father,
I thank You for Your free gift of eternal life. I thank You for sending Your son, Jesus, to die on the cross for my sins.
Forgive me for my sins. Come into my life, and take complete control.
