A Slice of Humble Pie
"True humility and the fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life." Proverbs 22:4
Have you ever eaten humble pie? I'm afraid over the past 43 years I've eaten enough slices of humble pie to equal more than enough pies for our nation's Thanksgiving.
The Bible tells us in Numbers 12:3 that Moses was more humble than any other person on earth. God was able to use Moses, and also to bless him with riches, honor, and long life because of his humility.
If we want to be used by God and have His power flow through us, we must first humble ourselves--die to self. And, when we are used by God, He fills us with true and complete joy. May we all commit to true humility today.
