Radiant with Joy
My father is a wonderful example to me of real Christian love and service to others. Recently, he completed a long series of radiation treatments for prostate cancer. Throughout the treatment process, I had the opportunity to talk with him about how things were going. Each time we talked, my father was filled with so much joy--even though the radiation process and its side effects were extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant. Daddy couldn't wait to get back to serving and doing things for others with 100% of his strength.
Though my father is aging and is now 75 years young, his face is radiant with the kind of joy that only Christ can bring.
Psalm 34:5 says, "Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces."
May you be radiant with the joy of the Lord, and may you have the best week you've ever had in your life.
